Clean up from the notch.
Screenshots and downloads leave on a timer. You see every file before it goes, and you can bring any of them back.
Download · macOS 14 Sonoma or later · add your key on first launch
Nothing disappears by surprise.
Every file passes two checkpoints before it’s gone for good, and you can stop it at either one.
- Now
1. Leaving soon
It shows up in your notch with a countdown. One click on Keep and no rule will touch it.
- After its timer
2. Quarantined, not deleted
It moves to a quarantine folder. Restore puts it back where it was, any time in the next 7 days.
- 7 days later
3. Then it’s gone
Only files you didn’t keep or restore are deleted for good, and History shows what went.
Your desktop, next week.
Screenshots and screen recordings leave on their own. Everything else stays exactly where it is, unless you give it a rule.
Drag to compare. With the default rules, only screenshots and screen recordings leave; the other files haven’t moved.
Set it once. Or don’t.
Screenshots and screen recordings are handled out of the box. The other rules are off until you want them, and every rule reads like a sentence you can change in place.

Questions
Does Purrify delete my files?
Not straight away. When a rule matches, Purrify moves the file to a quarantine folder and keeps it there for 7 days. You can restore it from History at any time in that window. After that it's deleted.
Which Macs does it run on?
Any Mac on macOS 14 Sonoma or later. On Macs without a notch, Purrify shows the same panel from a small black tab in the middle of the menu bar.
Is there a free trial?
No. Instead, you get a 14-day refund, no questions asked. If Purrify isn't for you, ask for your money back.
What is the founding price?
The first 100 people pay €5. After that the price is €12. You get the same app and the same updates either way, and founding licenses show their number (#001 to #100) in Settings.
Is it a subscription?
No. You pay once and get every 1.x update.
How do I get my license key?
It appears on screen right after checkout. If you lose it, open purrify.app/license and enter the order ID from your Paddle receipt (it starts with txn_). You can also paste the order ID straight into Purrify.
What happens without a license?
Purrify shows what it would clean up, but it doesn’t move anything until you add a key. Files already in quarantine stay restorable.
Can I get Purrify for free?
Yes, by sharing it. After you buy, you get a referral link that gives friends €1 off. For each friend who buys, you get up to €2.50 back, until you’ve got back what you paid, so two friends make a founding license free. See the referral terms.
Why does my receipt say Paddle?
Paddle.com is our Merchant of Record. They process the payment, handle VAT and sales tax, and issue your invoice.
Does Purrify send my data anywhere?
No. Your files and file names stay on your Mac. The app only connects to the internet if you activate it with an order ID instead of a key. See the privacy policy.
